GRAH [and spam]

My throat is sore today.

Overslept too much to busk, so I figured I'd make up the time by selling some of my things on eBay.

Listing the CF wifi card was easy because there was a picture of it in the auction I bought it from. Woot. Now I wait, and see if anything happens. [EDIT] That was fast. [/EDIT]I know things are less likely to sell in a shorter auction, but the plan is that I list things and then if they sell before I go away I can send them off on Saturday and if they don't sell before then I can re-list them while I'm at Aikido summer camp, so they should just be due for ending when I get back from Dartington.

So I took lots of pictures of the black velvet corset I never wear, and of the beautiful vintage silk wedding dress... I wore it for a performance once but it's really just too small and I don't think I'll fit into it again and I need the space and the money more than I need a dress I haven't worn for 3 years. And so, I tried to get the pics from phone to computer. Le fucking grand sigh. The bluetooth, she isn't plug-and-play like she says she is, so I install her, and then she's buggy and won't work. Yak #1 escaped. The alternate Yak is #2: use the Samsung PC Studio to try to get the buggers off the phone. This seems to be working, except for the fact that it won't download the Very Last Photo, which I need.

And now it's well past 11am and if I'd gone busking I would have been at Trinity by now, working, and I'm getting hungry, so I'll eat lunch before I go. And I still haven't done the academic work I wanted to get done today; thankfully I type fast, but grah.

I'll still have to write a description of the dress. I think it's about a size 12. It's a gorgeous cream-coloured silk crepe thing with a crinoline and a belt with a big bow and a matching veil. It does have a small rust stain on the front, and a slightly larger black greasy stain on the back - a cleaner who knows what they're doing (or someone very confident at extremely gentle hand-washing) could probably remove these, or someone who really REALLY knows waht they're doing might be able to dye the garment to hide them. It's in incredibly good nick, the fabric hasn't deteriorated the way synthetics do, even the elastic at the waist is still okay, it has lace and ribbon and stuff but not too much. It has little press studded loops inside the shoulders that you can put around your brastraps so everything stays in place. If I could still wear it, I would so keep it. It's been stored in a plastic garment bag.

I just lost way too much time to fighting with bad software. If I didn't think it would just piss me off even more, I'd write the damned stuff myself.

Time to get moving; I'll fight with this some more tomorrow afternoon.
