Sewing machine

Does anyone know if an old Necchi sewing machine is worth anything in terms of antique value? Apparently it is a good machine and still goes; I have not got around to even threading it. It is obscenely heavy, very old, and apparently does not do zigzag stitch (although I believe it does go backwards, really not sure).

If it doesn't have antique value then it will be free to the first collector, but I want to make sure first that it isn't something that might fetch me £50 or so.

it's not a table built in, like the singers, is it?

How old is it? It might be worth something depending on age. However, like most old machinery whether or not it is deemed "antique" really depends on whether there's a collector's market for it. Unfortunately my experience with antiques is focussed more on musical instruments, furniture and jewellery. I'm not so good on gadgets.

As a guideline, new Necchis go for over £1000. It's a very pricey range of sewing machines.
