Helium

Anyone heard of these guys? Any good?

I'm always happy to have another income stream, and perhaps my how-to-teach-music-privately series (which never quite off the ground) could be resurrected and put to good use there.

Thoughts? Alternate suggestions?

Go and try out Helium

One of the great things is you can publish your articles even though they have already been published elsewhere. And after you have published on Helium you can still post on other sites as well. You can't lose anything.

Helium Invites All

Greetings EW,

I am a musician by profession and maybe I should also add that I work for Helium. We are actually seeking writers with content that is specific to their professions and those with general knowledge as well. I wish that I had the time to populate the entertainment channel with content about guitar playing. Alas, I will have to sit by and watch others take this on, as I am extremely busy keeping up here at work.

Helium is about coopetition among writers. Each member that submits their content will have it rated by other writers but will be asked to rate other writers work as well. The best work makes its way to the top of the article list so that the reader can find what is deemed best easily.

There is so much opportunity on the site regardless of your interest. As new content appears we will build out the taxonomy to accommodate new work. The sky is the limit with Helium.

Hmmm, seems to me it's not a good thing if they barrage you with spam for just mentioning them! (Have been tracking the post)

That's what I was thinking. It makes them sound desperate, and putting time into working for a desperate company that doesn't have any binding contract to actually pay you for your work doesn't sound wise.

Quite!

Alas, I will have to sit by and watch others take this on, as I am extremely busy keeping up here at work.

I'm too busy searching for people that mention my company and spamming them, rather than writing content for the site, helping get it off the ground and showing it works. Mmhmm...

And they spam people. Eww!
