Drat

Wanted to go swimming today but can I find my suit, goggles and cap? No, of course not! It's been quite a while since I used them but I'm certain I didn't throw them away. Perhaps they are in Bath?

I've now used nearly half my gym-time looking for stuff, hurt myself sneezing after messing about in the dust and debris under my bed, and not found the offending articles. No time now if I want to stay on my schedule for today for anything but a walk and a shower. I'd have been better off going to the gym without my swimming kit and using the cycle machines or whatever.

I did find my skipping rope but I think it may be a while before I can use that; jumping up and down is perhaps not the best treatment for my joints right now!

I've nearly always been messy, mostly through not quite learning to pick up after myself. Must change this. I don't lose things often but when I do it's very upsetting.

Quite tempted by this shirt as an exercise shirt, in either black babyrib 2XL or white/black capsleeve 2XL. I don't really use tampons but I do find it funny.

I'm going to look in one more place for my swimming kit, and then get out for my walk.

I think there is a swimming costume eating monster that roams around the country eating them. When I moved into [livejournal.com profile] daneel_olivaw's flat for one of the university breaks I had a swimming costume; when I moved out I did not. I looked in all the places I could have left it there, helped by him and Ali, and I looked in all the places I could have left it in my college room, and in fact everywhere; moreover, I hadn't moved it once during that time. from the bag in which I brought the contents of the drawer it used to live in when I was in college. I can only conclude that it was stolen and eaten by the swimming costume monster. I fear for the fate of my current one, though maybe my current house is too cold for swimming costume monsters to go into.

I hope the goggles and cap give the swimming costume monster indigestion!

giggles quietly at the concept of swimming kit migrating itself to bath, perhaps by instinct.
