Blerghle.

Love is... coming in to work on Monday morning with pretty, fluffy things in your hair, and finding out that the director of the company is not in Israel as expected, but in London, and in the office. Or maybe not. Somebody please make this man go away.

The weekend was good. Saturday we went for a walk and didn't really do much else. Sunday was pancakes, then [livejournal.com profile] yady and I went running (not as hard as I thought it would be, go me), then came back and tried to sort out more of the back bedroom as someone was supposed to come and see it. They didn't turn up, so we had lunch and went to the park for mulberry-picking goodness. Victims of purple juiciness included [livejournal.com profile] arkady, [livejournal.com profile] purplekaz, [livejournal.com profile] marnameow, [livejournal.com profile] sbp, [livejournal.com profile] ali_anarres and some other person, I think it might have been [livejournal.com profile] hampsterboy but I'm not sure, will the offending party please identify himself? I got very pink, from eating lots of mulberries. We picked some blackberries too. Arkady is going to make jam! I want, even though the sugar is not good for me. She also pointed out which rosehips are going to be good for making jelly and/or cordial, so in about a month I will return, avec ciseaux, and pick loads of those. Also discovered a crabapple tree (they looked pretty big, to me, for crabs, but I guess we have a shorter season in Canada) and a plum tree (one of these days I am going to go and pick plums; I know a few plum trees around here). Yady braided pretty, fluffy things into my hair.

After that, Arkady went home, we went to my house and I played Brahms at [livejournal.com profile] sbp, and we got generally un-mucky before going out for Bento boxes at the Tokyo Diner. I took some knitting to do on the train but finished it before we got there, and ended up throwing it at people in a rather silly and frivolous manner. Gave Marna some Wild String for her kittens. My Bento box had chicken in the salad, silly me for ordering the Salmon one and then not reading the menu properly. So, I did not eat the salad. The salmon teriyaki was yum and the salmon sashimi was VERY yum. Must eat these things again. Must also go to Oriental City and get frozened edamame, so I can steam them and eat them up at home. Have decided that miso soup is also yum and I must get miso.

We were all tired then so we came home and went to bed.

It has been a stressful weekend in some ways, with Aviva coming and going and veeseetors here, but all in all a lovely time. I will be trying to get to bed by 11pm every night this week, though!

Have not yet decided what to do for the weekend. I have to work Friday morning, and there is a knitting circle meeting in London on Sunday afternoon. I would also like to go to Bath... but if I go to Bath then there is no real way I can do any busking (I don't busk on Saturdays) unless I miss the knitting circle meeting; and I don't know what the weather is going to be like. I suppose I could still book some busking in Lodnon for after the meeting, at say 6-8pm or maybe 8-10pm. I really want to go to Bath if [livejournal.com profile] shevek is not going to come here, though... if nothing else, it would be good to get out of the city for a while. Maybe I could busk a little on Friday afternoon and then go to Bath. Or maybe [livejournal.com profile] shevek will come to London. Will figure it out later, when I have a real connection and can actually talk to the Railtrack page.

The other person was [livejournal.com profile] uon. Can't possibly imagine why people are confusing the two.

I'm really sorry I couldn't make it on Sunday arvo.
As people who saw me on Saturday arvo can confirm, I was looking rather a bit the worse for wear already, and hadn't slept very well in days. I finally got to sleep on that night at about 4:30, and didn't wake up for a very long time. Technically i could have just about made it to the park before you went home, but i discovered I had run out of clean clothes and had to wait for the washing machine to run so I could hang things up in the sunshine.

Sounds like good fun; I ended up going for a long walk thru hampstead heath later that evening anyway, since I still felt a need to get to somewhere nice even if i missed the official version :)
