We are at the Pembury.

timeplease has set aside some dead things for us to have a go at, and I have as much as we could carry from hairyears' collection of dead things.

It is bright and sunny outside, but I've brought the lightbox along to use as a very bright light in case we need one.

I forgot to bring nametags, so if/when people turn up they'll have to do with "Hey, you in the black, no the other one," but that's okay.

We have BOOT.

One computer goes. They're trying to decide which Linux to put on it now.

Current attendees are hairyears, t_therkelson, timeplease, ali_anarres, daneel_olivaw, and secretlondon.

Specialization is for insects.

BATTLE SUMMARY

TWO computers made to work that did not previously live.

ONE being taken away by secretlondon. ONE being taken home by mirrorshard if nobody else claims it, which is likely as we are all here, and you lot are all not here, you've got about 15 minutes.

SOME parts were found not to work. Some parts might still work but we don't know yet because we ran out of bits to test them with.

ONE computer proved recalcitrant as there was no AT keyboard available.

I deem the operation a success. When shall we have the next one?
