Jul. 2nd, 2003 10:42 pmSacrificed another pair of cheapo sunglasses to the screwdriver gods tonight.
I now have precription glasses with two arms on them. This is good.
The arms, however, are much worse than the arms on the other cheapo sunglasses (the ones with the really cheap, easily-mangled screws). The rang eo fmotion is about 180 degrees, which is wrong. And the arms themselves are very soft metal which bends almost as soon as I look at it. These things must be remedied, probably with a third pair of cheapo sunglasses, similar to the first pair, with which I shall be extremely careful of how the screws are treated.
In the meantime, glasses with two arms feel like a bit of a luxury after several months with only one arm, and a week with none at all.
In other news, people have started phoning to look at the rooms, and the newspaper is not even out yet (one of the newspapers puts an online ad as well). This is good.
Also I have two probable new students starting for a few weeks at the end of July (and then going away on summer break and forgetting every fucking thing they've been taught, but hey... they get to find out whether they like it or not, and that is good, and means that I get to find out whether they like it, too) - yay. If they are anything like the student who referred them to me I will be very pleased indeed.
Right now, though, I am going to bed.
