I am selling these:

I want £15 the lot (that is, two falls mounted on nylotex - the headband is mine but if you want one I'm sure I can arrange a price), including UK postage. Other postage prices will have to be negotiated. They are pink and black and silver ribbon with various pink rexlace; some of the rexlace is UV responsive (I don't think any of it turns orange, I think it is all pink stuff, but I am not sure), there is also some nylotex which I still haven't found in the UK. I sealed the ends of the ribbon with wax so they won't fray so easily.

Haven't measured length yet but if you're not sure from the photo ask me and I will say.

If nobody wants them by Friday (9th January) they are going on eBay.

Someone ordered them several months ago and I have given up hope of ever seeing any money for them, and I'm having a clear-out, so away they must go.

I do custom orders. If you ever have money and want a set of falls then let me know. As I continue clearing out my room I daresay I will find more falls I am getting rid of (either because I made them and didn't get around to selling them, or because someone ordered them and then did not pay), so you may see a fair range of what I do over the next few weeks.

Fibreoptic cable is a bitch to work with though - breaks easily, leaks light all over the place when you don't want it to, blah blah blah. Electroluminescent stuff is marginally better but way way expensive. UV-responsive rexlace is easier, if slightly less spectacular...

Have you considered getting a deposit to cover materials when people order falls? I think if they've put some cash down they'll be less likely to leave you lumbered with them?

Yes, I won't start custom orders now without a deposit for the materials, been messed about too much.

I don't really have a use for a wooden stool with a head, no matter how cool a hairstyle it has, but I'll certainly keep you in mind for the next time I need one.

Ack, I don't think I have the hair to carry them off properly. Butbutbut...
I have hairfalls when I perform in my head.
Teeny black/electric blue braids mixed lengths of silver chain, or Electroluminescent / rexlace. But then, while I'm dreaming, I also have a ballet dancers six-pack, so, yeah...*Laughs*

I'm currently tryig to work fibreoptics in a mask I'm making, except I can't solder to save my life.

One word: wig.

Silver chain will be expensive, heavy and tangly. Silver lurex yarn (umm, don't have any pictures atm) might work though, it is incredibly sparkly and glows madly under UV.

How long is your hair now? If it's really short but you don't want to wear a wig then you could wear a whole bunch of (like 10 or so) clips, or some sort of arrangment with a headband or bandana.

Teeny braids will be annoying and take forever, depending on material used; some fake hair comes already in teeny braids but it is usually curly I think.

I suppose another issue will be how fireproof this stuff is, yes? I think most fake hair is pretty flammable, but then so is real human hair. The problem is that fake hair if it melts will stick to you. With that in mind perhaps wool would be a better option for the base material (yes, you can get teeny tiny wool and make teeny tiny braids with it, and it should come in both black and electric blue) as it doesn't burn so easily.
