Cat in Melbourne needs home. Perhaps some of you Australians could forward this on?

Oh, I had all SORTS of plans for today, but as it is I am just goign to be sliding into getting home at about 14.00. I'm exhausted and my back is killing me (and I slept very badly because of this last night) and my elbow is being sore again (WTF?) and it's going to take me a while to get going. Must resist the temptation to leave wayyyyy too much of my crap here in Enfield. Must organise appointment with osteopath, except I can't do that until I have my schedule sorted out. Unless they'll do a Saturday afternoon appointment, which may well be worth going for. Hmm.

At least (at last!) I can work on the train. At this rate the laptop will be fully charged by the time I get anywhere near public transport, as well.

Anyone around early afternoon on Tuesday 9th? I have spider plants and washing machine parts coming from [livejournal.com profile] feanelwa but I can't be around that day because I have a rehearsal. I think it's going to work better to do this another time.
The Good: I'm not teaching Saturday Suzuki School this Saturday, 6th January. This means I'm free to go to Leicester or stay here and sort some things out or various other things.

The Bad: Only 5, not 6, sessions of Suzuki this term. Not the end of the world, but at £25/hour, losing three-and-a-bit hours is annoying.

The Ugly: I'm teaching on 27th January, which is right after the Masquerade Ball. I'm going to have to get up VERY early indeed in order to be there on time. Blah. Suitable trains are at 06.20, 06.38, 07.05 and 07.16 - later than that they are all too late. I'd rather not take the 06.20 as it is 1:40 on the train and the others are all about an hour. I think aiming for the 06.38 might be a good plan. How far is the hotel from the train station, again?

Can I be bothered to head back up to Oxford for a housewarming party after that?
Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] nyecamden and [livejournal.com profile] doseybat who came and helped me tidy (and in the case of doseybat kept tidying even after I was way too tired to do much more). This means I can get good amounts of sewing done tomorrow. Yay!

[livejournal.com profile] mstevens has bought a vacuum cleaner. It is a bagless cylinder one with a washable HEPA filter; not a Dyson but still, I approve. I do not like vacuum cleaners that require bags, see.

Porridge++. I just had some as a snack, and I really must do this more often. I had a rather massive Kraft Dinner craving (no, I cannot explain this to you if you do not already understand it), but having no Kraft Dinner I had salty porridge instead. YUM, and much better for me than KD would have been.

Yes, I know not everyone likes porridge, especially salty. I like it. So there.

I first heard about salty porridge from a Flanders & Swann song. I'd only ever had it with sweet stuff on it, before then.

My kitchen cupboards are full to bursting. I'm going to attempt to not buy any actual groceries for a few weeks to see if I can make some space in them; could be interesting.
