Recently I've been getting around that by putting clothes I no longer wear in big bags to use as fabric for projects... which is a lovely idea, but I have way more projects in my head (and my bags) than I'll ever complete.

I've been doing something similar. I'm the anti-packrat and usually throw a bunch of clothes to the thrift shops a few times per year. But now I'm trying to alter them to make them more pleasing or fit better, if possible. But you're right, I have to remember not to pressure myself to work on them because then it becomes another stressor instead of something I enjoy. My personality is funny that way.

I'm having a hard time finding boots, too. I want tall black boots but I don't want heels. I want something that is practical enough for walking, cool enough for clubbing, and classy enough for the office. And what's worse, I want them for under $100 usd and I want them to last for a few years at least. I ask the impossible! Let me know if you run across something like this in your searches. The best I could find was John Fluevog's Mindy boots awhile back, but I don't think those are still around and Fluevogs are so expensive.
