pplfichi, btw, who a) came and house-sat for me while I went out to an appointment, b) went to bloody Vauxhall to pick up a parcel when I got confused and thought that the computer was there, c) didn't shoot me, and came back (with the parcel) and continued house-sitting. Furthermore he has provided technical expertise (well, I didn't know you had to put x0 in front of a hex key!) and good company the remainder of the evening.
I gave him a bowl of soup. Good soup, but... well. He deserves something more like a ten-course meal. Or a Cisco Aironet 350 series wireless LAN PCMCIA adapter, if any of you have one floating around. I have access to one that he borrowed for the evening, but it isn't actually mine to give away - I believe it belongs tomstevens (or possibly martling?).
