Having cool stationery (nice pens, pretty paper) makes me more willing to work on deskwork-type stuff, the sort of thing where I have to sit down and do stuff on paper.

I wonder if having cool packing accessories would make packing easier for me. It would certainly be nicer than my current use of plastic bags (which are horrible because of the plastic-bags-rustling-at-night thing which occasionally leads to me waking up terrified there is a mouse in the room, when actually it was just a plastic bag settling), but pillowcases might be a lot cheaper. But harder to organize.

Must. Not. Buy. Stuff.

Word of warning against "100% degradable" plastic bags - they degrade! I've found one with stuff from my desk at my last job (18 months ago) and the plastic disintegrates on touch.

I've heard several people report this problem, I will continue to be amused by it until it happens to me.

The toiletry kits look cool, it seems to be one of my big areas to get wrong when travelling.

You could actually make your self packing bags out of those old shirts...

I tend to have drawstring and zip top baggies I put shoes and undies in when packing...
