I am part of the way to fixing my glasses.
I got a cheap pair of kiddies sunglasses, and a small screwdriver set. The screwdrive set I wanted anyway and I am pleased to say I paid only one pound for it.
I have managed to remove one of the arms from the cheap pair of kiddie sunglasses (I got them because the arms were the right length) and attach it to my glasses.
I have managed to completely MANGLE the screw from the other arm and I doubt I will ever get it out. This means the arm will remain firmly attached. For cheap kiddie sunglasses they sure do put the screws in tightly.
I guess I will start over with a different pair of cheap kiddie sunglasses, and be more careful with the screws.
However, I do have glasses that I can wear without them falling off my face, now, which is a start. The pinhole glasses are great but just don't give me the precision I need for a lot of things, and wearing contact lenses for very long periods of time is annoying (although my eyes have adapted amazingly quickly - the first two days they were itchy and red and bloodshot, now they start to feel dry around 10pm - it has only been a week!).
On another note, I want more icons.
