Pembury last night - I gave up early on teaching because listening to the piano just hurt too much, then I was naughty and went to the pub but the pub had hot drinks and good food and I played a quiet game of Scrabble, and went home at an almost-sensible time. If I'd gone home directly I would have had to cook. Anyway, I'm now minus a pair of hairfalls, and plus 40 expired silver B&W films and some munny. Yay that.

My ear is still sick, so today I'm off to the walk-in centre at Marsh Wall so somebody can poke a light in my ear and look at it and tell me it is sick and possibly give me drugs to make it better (and possibly not).

I tried to phone student again and it was busy, again, so I e-mailed. Meh.

Anyone who lives in Tower Hamlets want to go to the Tower of London for £1 before Wednesday? Looking at you, [livejournal.com profile] owlfish.

Also, this is the last week for A Life in Maps at the British Library. I'm off to Leicester this weekend so I'll probably try to see it during the week.

Which reminds me, I need to phone students and see if I can reschedule Sunday's lessons to later in the week. And think about stuff to do on the train - it would be good to take some crochet and get a pair of socks that were ordered months ago finished, but I can't guarantee my elbow will put up with that. I'll have to see.

Going to put some stuff on Freecycle tomorrow morning. So there. If Freecyclers won't take it then I'm afraid it'll have to be skipped.

Right. Off I go. I hope it isn't too busy. Last time I needed to go to the walk-in centre, I was seen very promptly.

The map exhibition is great, and going on a weekday is a good idea because it was rammed over the weekend.

Wow, that really is a bargain. The last time I went around the Tower, I was with someone highly uninterested in the museum portions of it. It'd be worth it to me to go back and see what's in the White Tower especially.

I can't do today. Do you have a preference between Tuesday and Wednesday?

Wednesday would be better for me as I am teaching tomorrow from 16.30. Also, I'm hoping my ear will be less sick by then.

Mid-morning would be good, I think. I'll likely be travelling from Leytonstone; meeting you at Limehouse Station would be easy enough.
