Catsitting
Mar. 11th, 2007 03:12 pmI am now chez
fjm to catsit. YAY!
Except I have to go in about 3 minutes, to teach again.
I thought, "Right, I don't want to carry much, what do I need to bring with me?" and ended up with computer, phone, PDA and appropriate chargers. Forgot toothbrush because I am silly. I'm back at Isle of Cats for medical appointments tomorrow anyway, so I'll get a couple of changes of clothes then.
Yesterday - cream of nettle/goosegrass/chickweed/sandleek/dandelion soup. Harvesting any of these things when I can't actually bend over very well is frustrating at best, I think
pfy did most of the work. The soup was good though, and I will be doing that again. Yay for yum soup that costs hardly anything to make (okay,
pfy did buy some other ingredients - a carrot, a potato, an onion, a couple of cloves of garlic and some cream - but none of these are extortionately expensive).
I probably will make it to the Pembury tonight after all, but I'm unlikely to be there long enough to actually do much other than eat dinner. Okay, my journey 'home' will be shorter than normal, but I'm quite tired today and have quite a bit to do tomorrow.
