Yesterday I hurt my foot; not sure how but it was most unpleasant during the evening. It seems much better today. The splitting headache can take a hike though.
Stayed out too late playing Scrabble.
I will be cat-sitting until Wednesday now, due to unforeseen circumstances. This is not a problem.
No osteopath today so I should be able to make it to Aikido tonight.
It snowed a little last night but didn't stick of course. I am alternately missing last week's balmy weather, and feeling relieved about not having done any real gardening yet.
It is the right time of year to buy winter coats and boots at camping shops - they're all having spring clear-outs. My trusty MEC jacket died a few years ago and I've been putting off getting a replacement, but I may well end up with one this week. I have various waterproofs, all of which are too hot if it's actually warm and too cold if it's actually cold and not the right shape/size to put on big jumpers underneath. Can't be having with that, et cetera. My smart coats are okay but really not suitable for wandering around in properly wet weather. It's silly to not garden or not go out for a walk because it's too wet and umbrellas are a pain. Anyway, yes. Am thinking of something with a hood, because hoods win, and with a removeable fleece liner of some sort (although if I can't find one with a liner I like I'll just buy a shell and wear another layer underneath when it's cold...)

Date: 2007-03-19 11:30 am (UTC)I ought to have a look at winter coats. I have light-ish weight waterproofs and a heavy weight smart winter coat, but nothing that's a proper outdoorsy winter coat.
