Pity I don't still live in London. I still have my descants and tenor.

Hmm.

St. Albans is only about 12 minutes from West Hendon on Thameslink, iirc, so do not rule it out entirely!

Now that's just bizarre! What's the rep? She Sells Sanctuary? Eloise? Temple of Love? Greensleeves? :-)

For Whom the Bell Tolls? Bach? Teddy Bear's Picnic? Weirdo stuff in general that you would not expect to hear on recorder, I think.

Haven't really decided yet, but I have an AWESOME recorder player living 2 minutes' walk from my place (she is [livejournal.com profile] purplekaz, went to visit her last night, and it was her idea. It would be FUN!

You know, when I saw Apocalyptica (4 cellists covering Metallica) I thought I'd seen it all...

Best of luck for that! :)

I agree.

My current music collection has 3 songs by Metallica and 5 by Apocalyptica. Draw your own conclusions from that. ;)

Yes me me me...

I can goth it up for the occasion...

Have descant, treble and garklein (!) to hand & can do up to tenor before fingers become too small ;)

I saw Apocalyptica at Tutu's in first year. The audience were ALL wearing leather and twice my height.

hm, I used to play all the recorders when I was in high school, and played bass in the school group. later played descant and alto in a record group with some people from an OU course my father was doing. Sadly, I don't have any recorders in London, though.

curious - are you going to be using wooden or plastic recorders?

We'll use whatever we can lay our hands on - I have a wooden treble and a plastic treble, descant and sopranino. I'm sure someone must have a tenor, so we'll be okay...

Raa!

I shall appoint myself head/organiser of the Goth Recorder Group, seeing as the idea happened in my house.

Whereabouts d'ya live? What sort of standard could you play up to? (We wouldn't play anything too difficult at first; I was just wondering).

Two minutes walk? My my, you are fast. It usually takes me between three and three-and-a-half minutes.
