Aug. 6th, 2003 12:53 pmForgot to close the blinds to my office when I left yesterday; as a result this place is now baking. Grah. The fan with the really scary electrical cord has ceased to work, as well. I'm not going to attempt to reconnect it, at this point; probably around lunchtime, I will. Right now I want to make a substantial dent in what I'm supposed to be doing today.
Next week at OfficeJob1: one colleague on holiday, one colleague having radiotherapy every day, director away until 14th.
Next week at OfficeJob2: one of my bosses returns to work, which means I am not going to be in there every afternoon, which is good, particularly from the viewpoint of doing some extra hours at OfficeJob1. However, I may be asked to do some extra work at OfficeJob2, which is difficult; partly because I need to put OfficeJob1 first, and partly because I have spent the last two weeks spending every afternoon at OfficeJob2 and I am SICK of it at the moment.
I applied for a new bank account and a savings account, at a different bank than my current one (which is horrible). Still waiting on paperwork. Go me, though, for finally getting around to applying.
Today I learned that washing your hair when you have nearly half of it in wool extensions is a real treat. Wet wool is very heavy; I had to hold all the extensions out of the way with one hand, leaving them hanging simply HURT too much. Wet wool also smells like wet sheep; fortunately this is not too bad as a lot of the yarn I used was actually synthetic. It does, however, still take quite some time to dry, and while this is not a problem with my normal hair, it is a bit annoying with the wool hair. I guess I need to invest in a hairdryer... either that or lose the braids. But, I LIKE the braids.
Boss at Job1 has managed to foncuse the hell out of everyone by sending translations every direction imaginable, not telling any of us what has been sent where, taking the originals (with his hand-written comments) with him, and demanding to have everything back by this afternoon. I wanna go home.
