I would like some shoelaces that don't suck. They must be:
-black (not black with white bits or other bits, plain black, all the way along)
-as thick as good hiking boot laces
-as slippery as good hiking boot laces (that is, they go through the holes easily but don't come undone easily)
-have ends that don't come off after 2 weeks of wearing the things
-not as long as hiking boot laces; these are 4-hole boots, but I'd prefer something for 5-or-6-hole dress shoes. Trainer length is getting a bit too long. Standard hiking boot size is definitely way too long.

Helf?

Best,

In other news, my brain is working on a design for something like these using this method (but possibly different materials) and this footbed. Um. I really don't need to be doing this. It is a Side Project. It is a Distraction. So, Shut Up, brain.

But. Modular shoes!

Le sigh.

I find shoe laces in general to be a problem. I recently had to buy black tennis shoe laces for my brown "chaussures de ville". (Not really dress shoes, but not sneakers/trainers, either.) They're flat and shiny and do NOT go at all with the shoes, but I needed something to tide me over until I can find the right kind of laces. If they're not going to make laces that last as long as the shoes, they should just sell you three additional pairs of laces when you buy the shoes!

Oh, and children's shoe laces are even harder to find.

I'll have a look, that sounds like a good place to start. Thanks!

Every time I get new vogs, I make sure I get the real vog laces because nothing I've found ever matches up to the originals. As they're Canadian, maybe you can get family to ship them over?
