Tour expenses.

Musing about how much this is going to cost, if I can pull it off.

I need to total this up and make all the currencies talk to one another, but it looks like £4-5K.

What have I missed out? What costs are going to bonk me over the head once I'm there? Have I set aside enough emergency money?

Any idea how I'm going to raise £5K in the next two months? Legally?

Okay. So. If I'm going to get the tour sorted out I need the website to be up and running. If I want to get the website up and running I need to write, at the very least, some sort of FAQ.

Fundraising

Ideas for fundraising:
-concert in aid of tour fund? Could do at end of February if I can get hall space and participants. I'm thinking 'suggested donation' rather than 'entry fee' though.
-pre-sell CD of groups I meet over the summer? Need to find at least 3 bands who will talk to me, first.
-beg people
-sell "Music should be free" t-shirts
-beg organisations

Any other suggestions?

EDIT: T-shirts, buttons, etc - anyone know of anything that's like CafePress but more ethical in terms of the materials used?

No, I won't be using them for the audio CD bit, it would increase the time too much and I have to make a source CD anyway so may as well send that to the customers...

Also, any idea how to make this not look like "Please fund my vacation"? There are elements of vacation in it but I will not be paying for those; the rest of it is rather hard work, actually.
