ARSE ON A STICK
Sep. 3rd, 2005 04:50 amJust broke my glasses right across the bridge. Have made splint with toothpicks and tape for now but will need to fix them further at some point in the next 24 hours.
Not impressed - I've only had teh damn things since December. I wonder if I still have the receipt anywhere or not? I wonder if Specsavers will even want to hear about it. My address has changed between now and then as well, and in Britain changes of address always seem to be problematic for anything important.
Also, staying up all night talking is nice, but I'm going to be shattered tomorrow.

Date: 2005-09-03 07:03 am (UTC)My previous experience with glasses broken in this manner is that of the optician looking at them, sighing, and saying they can't be fixed reliably, then selling me an all-new pair of glasses because my lenses are the wrong shape for all the frames they have in at the moment.
It isn't as if they were stepped on (ever!) or anything. I was just cleaning them, as gently as I'd clean any pair of glasses.
