I need to deal with nettles Soon. I can't do it on a Saturday because the people who have promised nettles to me are Shomer Shabbat, so I'm thinking Wednesday a week and a half from now would be good. The plan would be to go up to Hendon for most of the day. At Flicky's we'll just cut the nettles and set them up to for retting in warm water immediately at her place; she's willing to have them in the garden and will use the fertilising liquid after the nettles have finished retting. After finishing there we'll go on to the Chicken Lady's house, cut down the nettles in her back alleyway, bundle them into black sacks and then into backpacks and suitcases, and bring them down to the House of Shiny where I'll set them to ret at the end of the garden.

I don't know if the people concerned are actually free on that Wednesday, and I'm not going to phone them to find out until Sunday, because I (and they) have enough to deal with before then.

Anyone want to help? You'll need:
-protective clothing
-travelcard to Zone 3 (or equivalent transport)
-ummm... that's it.

It would also be nice if you could bring a large rucksack or a suitcase on wheels. Something you think you can fit nettles in, but you can handle on the Tube without trouble. I will have my wheely suitcase and huge rucksack but may actually end up with more nettles than that, not sure, will do reconnaissance on Sunday.

I know it's a longshot, being a weekday, but it should be fun and there are enough of you that don't currently work office hours that maybe I won't end up making multiple trips.
