The horns of a terrible dilemma
Feb. 23rd, 2006 10:44 amI have work to do - academic work, I'd like to hand it in this afternoon even though it isn't due until tomorrow (if I can hand it in today then I don't have to go to Trinity at all tomorrow and this saves me three hours)... and I'd sort of planned on doing some sewing today (get those Aikido bags finished, maybe make a fleece skirt). None of these things can be done here. Also, I have Alexander Technique at 2pm.
It's snowing. It's been snowing since I got up several hours ago. So far it isn't settling but I have hope. The BBC weather forecast is on crack as usual and tells me that it is raining. Nope. It's snowing.
I have a refrigerator full of fresh eggs, and some soup left (though it REALLY needs more veg added), and a kettle that can become full of hot water at short notice, and a computer I would like to play with even though I have no way of transferring anything to it today. All of these conspire to make me want to stay home...
but I have a warm furry sleeping cat in my lap and the ENTIRE INTARWEB in front of me. How can I leave? How can I even think about leaving?
