Jun. 5th, 2006 08:53 amRunning before breakfast = pants. Not doing that again in the near future. Should have known, really, but decided to see what would happen. I did have some water first so it wasn't too bad really.
Not sure about running in the morning, full stop; I didn't find it as meditative as on Friday, and while I feel alert now, I don't feel the sense of calm I had before. I had to walk a lot longer before I felt 'warm' enough to run. Possibly this would be different after breakfast.
I ran 10 minutes and it took me 15 to walk that distance back. I think I might just have been walking slowly. I did repeat the wossname of feeling like running again after 2 or 3 minutes, but again I decided to keep walking instead - I have Aikido tonight and don't want to overdo it and end up really sore.
My right ankle wasn't very happy toward the end of the running time, but was fine after walking for a while. My shins didn't hurt as much as last time either. I think I took longer strides, which makes it a little easier.
I think I'm far more sensitive to things like unlevel pavement than I was as a child.

Date: 2006-06-05 08:32 am (UTC)Do you want to be on my running filter? I am currently at a bit of a different level than you (5.43 km twice a week and working on speed) but if that doesn't put you off you're more than welcome.
