Got it out of Zest Magazine or something years ago, I don't remember it exactly but it's something like this:
Slice fresh peaches, cook them (gently!) with a syrup made from sugar, amaretto, and real vanilla. You're aiming for a syrup with whole slices of peach in.
Put that in the bottom. On top of that put a layer of those Italian amaretti biscuits.
On top of that, the usual layer of custard (not too much!) followed by cream (I mix greek yoghurt or creme fraiche into the whipped cream with good results). On top of that I put some more amaretti biscuits for decoration.
I've been going off magazine subscriptions. For some reason, stuff that I used to buy every week that was exciting and interesting to read has become dull and a chore now that I get it delivered automatically.
That's because you read the Economist. And Private Eye, which while it has funny bits, only really makes sense if you also manage to read something to keep up with current events (the Metro probably does not count).
The Economist probably doesn't deal with enough UK stuff in enough detail to count, either. And I think it sorely misses the point much of the time, but then I'm a commie bastard (except I get really pissed off at the New Statesman as well...)
I've read The Week once or twice, which seems to be a bit less based on a platform. Might make a habit of it; better than succumbing to reading an actual proper broadsheet every day (I'd never manage it) or trying to keep up with the BBC newsfeed.
It's terribly sad, really; I figure if there's anything really important that I ought to know about, I'll find out about it through LJ. I read a lot of LJ though.

Then I eat it up. It is yum.
