Aug. 18th, 2006 02:21 pmYesterday was brutal. Thanks to all who commented on the angsty post - and those of you who didn't, well, it's not like I'm keeping count or going to get offended or anything. Mostly I make posts like that to get things straightened out in my head, to figure out what the hell I'm feeling. See, sometimes I don't know what I feel until I've put it into words. This is part of why I talk so much.
But I got to Aikido, thanks to
hairyears coming around and insisting it would be good for me to leave the house, and hugging me lots. Oh, and he did my washing-up and ironed my kit as well, I was still pretty out of it and taking a long time to do anything.
mstevens, can we keep him? Please?
And Aikido was good, if a bit draining.
And this morning I got up as usual, didn't get out in time to do any busking but I did some errands instead. On the way out the key broke in the door, so when I came back I had to go to the locksmith down the road. They cut me a new key for free; this is the second time they've bailed me out of hot water without charging me (the first time was when the key was stuck in the door). Here are some people who want to keep my custom, and will do so. I ought to link to them I guess. But it was stressful being locked out and not knowing if it could be fixed soon or how much it would cost. I'm glad it didn't happen yesterday, I don't think I would have been able to deal.
I'm feeling pretty shaky today but going to try to do some little things. When I dropped in to Trinty earlier to see about finding a locker, the SU office was shut. Then when I went back again it was open but the guy who knows about lockers and keys and such wasn't there. So they're going to give me a ring if he's in today, and I'll go in then. The library is shut until next week, so I didn't work on any academic stuff.
It's a blustery day out, and it keeps raining in short stretches and then being sunny again. I can't decide whether to risk hanging my laundry out. I suppose it would be okay as long as I stick around to rescue it if it rains.
Okay, that's enough intarweb now. I go have a lovely lunch. Food is good, see.
