Falling down update: can hardly see teh bruising on my arm, and the bruising on my leg is only showing up in one place. I feel slightly resentful - if I have to be in that much pain, I'd rather like to have something to show for it, so people don't think I'm just being a wimp. On the good side, I seem better able to use that arm today, so playing should be alright; I'll have to be gentle and see how it goes, really.

Eels.

Shirts of Bamboo - about what it sounds like. But I wish they were more reliable in their colours available, and stuff. I haven't worn bamboo before and would like to give it a go at some point. They say it feels like silk, but they say everything feels like silk if they want to sell it. Anyway, yay for no pesticides to grow the stuff. Maybe I'll get some bamboo yarn and make a scarf. Or order some bamboo fibre to spin. Hmmm. Reminds me: must get cracking on the nettles if I'm going to do that this year.

Green Karat sell ecologically responsible jewellery. The stones are man-made rather than mined and the metals are recycled. There are some pretty designs there, and they do custom stuff as well. If I ever get married I think I might like jewellery from them or some similar place in the UK if there is one.

Blackout London is a lovely idea, and there's a lot of other good stuff there too. I will be participating in this somehow.

The intarweb has too many pretties.

I'm offski.

Bamboo is lovely. And it's pretty silky. Certainly it's a natural fibre and has all the nice qualities that that entails and it's not like a synthetic fibre designed to look like silk.

Hope the bruising goes down soon.

*hugs*

Nettle yarn? wow :) Always wanted nettle clothes. I've had hemp clothes, but bamboo sounds better. Are you taking commissions?

Turning off all lights is a bad security risk, IMHO, although certainly turning off all extraneous lighting is worthy, and should be done all the time.

Shirts of Bamboo... Looks interesting, but the site is Russian. I think I'll wait for some customer feedback before I send a credit card number.

St. Petersburg, FL means Florida. Not Russia.
