Good evening!

Last night brought hennes.

Today we went to IKEA. I have rugs now! Also some coat hangers, bits of EL wire (PINK! and BLUE! in addition to the WHITE! that pfy bought for me last Christmas), a thingy for plastic bags, dividers for my wire drawers (they weren't making them when I first got the drawers a few years ago; if they work well I may go back for more), and... a sofa bed mattress.

Yes.

I tried all the different ones and it was the most comfortable. I will go back for the frame when I have more money, or rather, access to it. Still no arrival of Canajan cashcard. :(

On the way back we got caught badly in the rain, in part due to my 'shortcuts' to the station. Oops. I missed my appointment at the gym because COLD and WET damnit.

hairyearsdropped by for his computer; he's uke for a dan grading this weekend, and wants to capture the video and stuff. hennes did bring his laptop with him to visit so I have commandeered it while he reads mstevens' Transmetropolitan comics.
We ordered pizza. It was good.

HAHahahahaha. But the concert last night went well.

I'm sitting here with blue glowing hairgel on my face and the backs of my hands. It doesn't glow as brightly as advertised; in hair it would have to be on blonde hair to be really effective. Makes pretty good make-up though, though it itches as it dries and I'm not entirely sure my skin won't rebel on me tomorrow.

What? It's important to discover these things.

In IKEA I saw things that would be great for making into hairfalls... except the last time I made hairfalls was AGES ago, so I didn't buy them, but... hmm. Also, these are wonderful; two or three of them in a corner give a room an amazing feel. I'd love them even more if they were blue or pink or purple. Maybe I can make something. Modified and covered with black PVC they'd make wonderful beetle wings for a costume.

-whether other people think about stuff they could make out of the things at IKEA.

!! Ikea have EL wire again?! But it doesn't say so on their website... they're getting lax about putting things on their website; they don't have the SLOM bottles there either.

Yes but the other jars in the SLOM range are on the website... and the EL wire last year was part of the holiday stuff which they had listed on their website.

I read that as 'panhandle the mattress up to the loft', and had a mental image of the mattress retreating up the stairs to escape the pleading for spare change.

When we went to Ikea on Wednesday, Arkady and I kept looking at things and saying they'd make great doll props :-) And everytime we found something glowy we all (secretlondon was with us) thought of you!
