hairyears brought me a pair of headphones. No idea if they're any good for Tube travel, it may still be too loud. They do seem to block out some of the snoring, though. Sound quality is very good - much better than the Mac speakers, which are possibly the best laptop speakers I've ever used.

Date: 2006-12-29 10:14 am (UTC)I have recently got a pair of Altec Lansing ones and Dave has a pair of Creative ones - they are fantastic! The Lansings are better at noise cancelling than the creative ones, but the creative ones let voices through better AND fold up!
You'll almost end up living in them on public transport!

Date: 2006-12-29 05:15 pm (UTC)My dad got me a pair of headphones (http://www.headphoneworld.com/product_details.php?item_id=117&category_name=Ear%20Pad). They do sound good. No noise canceling so the tube is probably out, but they fold up and seem fairly robust...
