Stuff I am Getting Rid Of
Jan. 8th, 2007 05:58 pmI need to get rid of some Things. This is the bit where I offer them to You, Gentle Reader, before I put them on eBay or Freecycle.
All prices are negotiable, but I do need you to pay for postage if we can't meet conveniently.
1 ladies' bicycle. Three gear speeds, Sturmey Archer type. Pink. Rusty around the handlebars as it's been outside for some time. Last I checked the tyres were in good condition but I can't guarantee them to be free of leaks. Has mudguards, pannier rack (but no panniers), wobbly wicker front basket. Will throw in lock as well, but not lights or helmet. I never ride it because it's a bit too big and heavy to get through the house easily... so it's got to go. Free; pick-up only as there's no point posting it.
1 broken spinning wheel. It's missing the driveband and the flyer and bobbins. I'd like to say that I'll get around to repairing it, as was my original plan; it was given to me as a gift and I have a huge amount of guilt about not using it. Reality is that I've just not managed to get around to doing anything with it, I don't know a lot about woodworking, and I don't have a lot of time. I'd really like to see this go to someone who will refurbish it properly and use it. Free; pick-up preferred, postage would be quite a bit. Sorry,
arkady.
1 Coin Sorter - not electric, you put the coins in one by one and they roll to the appropriate slot. Small, blue. Too slow for counting busking money but okay for a children's toy bank perhaps. Free plus postage.
1 Bendi Light-Up Keyboard. The advert is lying about the quick, reflexive typing action - I found this keyboard quite difficult to type on at any great speed. It's good if you're a hunt-and-peck typist, though, or if you need a keyboard that can survive dusty/wet/spillage/whatever environments. Has plug for USB and also a PS2 adapter. And hey, it lights up blue. Maybe you can use the electroluminescent sheeting for something. I must admit I'm half-tempted to just take it apart and turn it into a giant Krill lamp, but... reality, how much time have I got? So. Yeah. It goes. I'd like £10 plus postage for it.
1 black leather wallet/folder, a bit smaller than A5 size. Has snap-out chequebook folder, pocket that will hold A5 paper, zipped compartment, snapped compartment, four credit-card sized slots, two paper-currency-sized slots. In reasonably good condition; the leather is a bit scratched but the marks only show in some light. I'll try to get a photo up at some point. I'd like £3, plus postage.
1 moderately knackered Salomon backpack/vestpack thing. Instead of buckling it has lots of pockets on the 'straps' which zip together. It has an internal pocket and channels for a hydration pack of some sort, which I've since lost. There is mesh and string on the outside for attaching a spare coat or something; there are two elasticated side pockets, one of which has lost its elastic. Not suitable for carrying huge amounts of weight, probably okay for things like running, though. Free plus postage.
1 Samsung hands-free set (NOT bluetooth), for Samsung D600E and similar. Never used. £1 plus postage.
1 old Travel Diary, inscription in front dated July 1967. Sections for Itinerary, Places of Interest, People I Met, Autographs, Personal Diary and Photographs. Grey hardback with gold lettering. Free, plus postage. GON to
blue_mai
1 Miniature Gardening set, colourful, includes small watering can, trowel, fork and rake. Metal; wooden handles on trowel, fork and rake. Comes in blue, pink and green carry-bag with pockets for more stuff should you need it. Possibly good for a balcony gardener, or for children helping with an allotment. Free plus postage. GON to
flannelcat.
2 Brita filter cartridges, standard, in plastic sealed package, we no longer use these as we have switched to Maxtra cartridges. £3 plus postage for them both. GON to
ksta.
That's enough for now, I think. More next week.
