Foldschool is a collection of free cardboard furniture for kids, handmade by you. I don't see why there couldn't be grown-up versions also - might be just the thing after moving house but before getting table and chairs sorted out.

Re the cardboard furniture, I found this a while ago — a coffee table made by gluing together layers of corrugated cardboard and then varnishing. They call it Tetris-style design, because if you look at the things end-on they're like they're made from Tetris blocks. In terms of seating, I'm not sure foldable furniture would be strong enough for anyone bigger than a small child, but the Tetris stuff might work.
