[livejournal.com profile] purplekaz came over last night and braided more pretty fluffy things into my hair. I like them lots. I hope my boss does not ask me to take them out.

Today I am all tired, even though I was not up that late last night. I also woke at 6am, but seem to have managed to get as far as 8am without doing anything except getting dressed, eating breakfast, and updating my wishlist. This is mildly disturbing. I'm not sure whether I should try to use my early mornings better while I have still got them, or just accept that it takes that long for my body to properly wake up anyway. I suspect some combination of the two would be good.

Must phone today to book busking for the weekend; I've decided I'll book a pitch on Friday afternoon, and another one Sunday evening, after the London.Crafts meeting; this way I can still go to Bath, if necessary, without giving up all income for the weekend.

My office jobs feel like such a waste of time compared to busking and making hairfalls. Financially it's hard to say how much better busking and hairfalls will be - especially with hairfalls, demand is only ever going to be so high, if I make too many I just won't be able to sell them - but after a full day of busking I am exhausted and happy, and after a full day of office work I am exhausted and drained.

Must make advert for piano lessons and take it round to all the newsagents; end of August/beginning of September is prime time for getting new stoodints.

That's a very good and concise way to describe the difference between work that we find meaningful and work we don't.
I know just what you mean!

You probably said this somewhere along the line, but I'm not sure. What do you play when you do your busking?

Housewarming for [livejournal.com profile] leunnammi you mean?

Probably not; I'm exhausted already and may be going to Bath anyway. If [livejournal.com profile] shevek comes here I will probably try to have a Quiet Night In with him - no offense intended, I just have not actually seen him since 22nd June and spending the evening in a big group of people does not particularly appeal.

Pictures of the hair will be posted when I think it is 'done'.

I frequently seem to "wake up" when I'm about 15 minutes into my commute to work; usually when cut off by some twit driving their kids around. (Parents driving kids around should have a huge neon sign saying "I'm statistically likely to kill you without noticing, please avoid!")
Parents driving their kids to/from school in either 4WDs or Volvos are twice as bad.

Anyway, I digress. But some people just aren't morning people. On the other hand, it usually seems to translate to being better daytime or evening people

Yes please!

I think I have found out a way to make the yarn stay closer to the scalp; might ask you to experiment with a few of the front ones, a bit, as the inch of hair before the wool starts is a bit odd (will leave the others though as they won't really show anyway).

What be your schedule like tonight?

Job may by boring and exhausting, but at least the income is steady. Must keep this in mind
until you go to uni. It's only for a year. Maybe a more interesting job is what you need.
Sometimes the people make the job more interesting. Just like mine. Don't really like the
work, but the people make it interesting and worth getting up for each day - as well as the
money in the bank on a regular basis. Money can't buy happiness, but it sure help with
financial security!
