Got my arranging assignment back.

80%. Again. As in, "we can't give you a higher grade than this because if we do, it messes up our curve."

Many positive and useful comments.

This is such welcome news today; I've been feeling a bit low and frustrated. This is almost as good as free kitten snuggles! And it won't pee on my lap!

Pass mark is 40%. 70% and above is a First.

There are only about 40 pieces of work being graded for each assignment. It's quite difficult to make it fit a standard bell curve without failing people.

Hmm. I can see the need to come up with a standard marking scheme such that the exam fits in with everything else, but the impossibility of achieving higher markers is just bizarre.
