sbp at Canary Wharf this morning. Canary Wharf is a VERY nice pitch for 8-10am. Yes oh yes.
I need to figure out a way to do a good warm-up (10 or 20 minutes) before I leave the house every morning. This will greatly improve my playing at the 8-10 slot quite a bit, and help my lip last longer. I suspect the answer is likely to be something along the lines of using the mute and/or going outside, though, because 6am is no time to play horn without a mute.
Saw my choir director at Bond St. He stopped and we chatted a bit, although not long as he had to go, and I wanted to keep playing.
Someone put chewing gum (used) in my case. Happily it was dry enough not to make a complete mess, and I had a sarong in the case anyway (makes it easier to just gather up the sarong and bundle it up with all the money instead of having to scrape it all out of the corners) so even if it had been messy it wouldn't have damaged the case. Still, nasty. My case is not a bin.
There would appear to be no NatWest bank on Oxford St. between Bond St. tube and Tottenham Court Road. I didn't see it, anyway. Silly ewt; I really should have just taken a tube instead of walking, but having already spent a good 5 hours on tubes or stations I felt like a walk.
Now I am off again with more stuff to do. Tonight is definitely going to have to be a quiet night in, and a long hot bath. I'm absolutely grimy.
