stormy weather

Wonderful storm here. It's good to be inside in the warm and dry, but I am half-tempted to go out and play in the big wind. There's thunder and everything. The water is running down the loft window in a sheet, not droplets.

I still wish I had another water butt. I think I may just have to do something about this sometime in the near future.

Here comes the sun

Storm has blown over as quickly as it came and I can see at least two parhelia. Parheliae? Lovely. But it isn't cold enough for them to be icecrystal ones, I don't think; perhaps the London smog has similar refractive properties?
