Today I will be mostly waiting for a sofa to be delivered. hairyears finally got rid of the one the previous occupants left in his flat and has purchased a shiny new one from IKEA, but they only deliver during business hours, i.e. when he is doing work.

I must say, this would be a great job - parcel-sitter. I could get paid money to sit around and read and wait for a parcel to come. I doubt there's enough market to make it viable, though.

I seem to have bruised the outside edge of my right hand, it's all tender and sore. No idea how I managed this.

This made me laugh. Snagged from moonwrangler. I'm so glad my job isn't like that!

I still want this dress and I still can't afford it. Also this one, although it's probably too small.

Jinglehorse have designed a a computer that runs at 75 watts under full load. I'm wondering how that compares to most laptops. Link from Treehugger.

Some other time I'll make a post about IKEA nesting syndrome and mating rituals in suburban humanoids.

Right now I've still got most of a sofa to assemble. It's always more fun without the instructions! Which is just as well as they haven't included any that I've been able to find. Go, Go, Gadget Spatial Thinking Skills.

EDIT: It's bad when a screw breaks, right? Especially when the other half of it stays in the wood... thankfully it shouldn't matter structurally. IKEA need a lesson in drilling holes in the right places.
