The weekend and stuff
Jun. 8th, 2003 10:02 pmThursday was tiring. Did get the shopping done though.
Friday I made cheesecake. I like it. It is yum. Cheesecake++
My dad is here now. He brought The Blanket, which has been sitting in his garage for three years. It is still in one piece. I'll take pictures and post them and the story of The Blanket some other time when I am not falling asleep. He brought some clothes from my mum and some cookies from my stepmum and some more saksatoonberry jam and various other bits and pieces, too. Oh, and some rexlace.
shevek brought me a second-hand camera (via zoot, mushroom) from
yady. It is little and cute.
My father also brought me a camera, which is not so little or cute but does have things like a flash, a display screen, and 64MB memory. This makes it slightly more useful. No, binks, it isn't a Fuji Finepix. Sorry.
I am going to go and lay out my clothes for work tomorrow, get the shoe congregation out of my room (oh, we got a bed today for one of the upstairs rooms, and all the shoes and coats and things had to leave the front hallway to make space to get it up the stairs), pack my bags for tomorrow, have some water, brush my teef, and go to bed. Last week was exhausting, the weekend was sortof tiring, and today was a tiring day (four hours on the Tube is always tiring - poor
shevek going back to Bath as well). I am tired, and rightfully so. My throat is a little sore but I think this is likely just dehydration. I'll have a bit of vitamin C before bed anyway though.
At least breakfast (dad is going to make me an omelette!) and lunch (leftovers from supper today) are sorted. My lunch is even already packed, all I have to do is take it out of the refrigerator in the morning. Wow, et cetera. Supper I think might be a cheese sandwich or something. There is much bread in the house right now.
As usual, nothing profound to say.

Date: 2003-06-09 08:28 am (UTC)Does the "taffeta" skirt fit? Anyway, when pressing it, use a "cool" iron with steam . Inside out.
Me thinks you should first spend your money on eyewear - most important thing to do.
Have a nice visit with your Dad.
