No new sewing projects until I get some pinking shears.

Also, having used this machine to make some denim bags and lots of coarse cotton drill stuff, I'm now using silk. That's a learning experience. Not only am I making something out of silk, but it has a bazillion seams in it because I'm making it out of cut-up bits that used to be something else.

Fun fun fun.

Still - there's nothing like having to do a bit of hand-sewing for a particularly tricky bit to remind me just how wonderful it is to have a sewing machine for the majority of the things. No way would I be doing this at all if I had to sew by hand the whole thing.

I want an overlocker, and an ironing board that is the right height, and pinking shears.

And a room just for sewing, so that I can give the living room back to [livejournal.com profile] mstevens.

You can get a pinking blade for your rotary cutter too ;)

And I think I forgot to respond back to that other comment. Yes they work wonderfully for fabric. Olfa makes an "ergonomic" one that is a lot more comfortable to hold and cut with, and I think it would help with your elbow problems. I can't even FATHOM cutting most things out with scissors for my sewing projects.
