I occasionally go on about bison, how good it tastes, the fact that it would be kosher if someone would bother to shecht it...
Well, someone has.

But, I have a milky kitchen, and they are in South Dakota. So no buffalo for me just yet.

It's a kashrut thing. In a kosher kitchen, milk and meat are kept rigorously separate - to the point of having separate dishes. I have no meaty dishes. So, my entire kitchen is milky.

is there a reason for it? i mean, can you ever have meat and milk in the same kitchen?

Same kitchen, yes, if you use separate dishes. For me it is just easier not to (especially as I have people living with me who are not Jewish or interested in Judaism and having separate sets of dishes starts to get complicated), also cheaper (extra sets of dishes add up... and kosher meat is very expensive).

You can find out more about kashrut at http://www.jewfaq.org/kashrut.htm (http://www.jewfaq.org/kashrut.htm).

one of the fun things about bizar and arbitrary religious tennents is they encourage creative problem solving.

By "dish" do you mean "plate"? theres paper plates.

would it have to be cooked in a non lactate involved skillit? could you use tinfoil?

and is this all simular to the biblical junk (think in deutoronony) about keeping beef and milk seperate?

My old Theology studdies were very generalised and couldent posibly go into deep details on the 20 different religions i had to do papers on.
